The Prophet: The Manifested Providence

A Prophet is not merely a wise teacher, a saint, or a philosopher. He is the manifestation of the Supreme Being in human form—the embodiment of divine love, wisdom, and providence, appearing on earth to guide, nurture, and rescue humanity from existential crisis. Every age witnesses the advent of a Prophet, for without Him, life loses direction, society crumbles under ignorance, and people stray from the path of true fulfillment.

A Prophet is not self-appointed, nor can He be elected by human institutions. His emergence is a necessity of existence itself, a response to the cries of suffering and the moral and spiritual decay of civilization. He descends from Providence, bearing within Him the attributes of divine compassion, wisdom, and guidance.

Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra elaborates:

“He, who with due reverence to His forerunners, attempts, crosses over existential difficulties to have a propitious, profitable go of life, to maintain its solidarity with every growth of mutual friendly bondage, to enhance interchange of hearts with love and lore, and to impart messages for the welling up of humanity with all its surroundings—resisting evils of life through due attempt, nurturing individual distinctiveness to evolve the life-breath of all—is the Lord, the Christ, the Prophet Incarnate—as I think.”The-Message-2

This means that the Prophet:

  1. Preserves and fulfills the legacy of past Prophets.

  2. Resolves existential crises, ensuring sustenance and growth.

  3. Resists evil and prevents the disintegration of society.

  4. Nurtures individual distinctiveness while guiding people toward unity in growth.

  5. Brings about a spiritual and social revolution by re-establishing Dharma.

The Prophet as the Fulfiller of the Past

All Prophets of the past are alive in the present Prophet. This is why to follow the current Prophet is to follow all the previous ones. Each Prophet comes not to abolish the past, but to fulfill it according to the needs of the present age.

Sree Sree Thakur states:

“The Prophet of the time is the enlivening emblem of the past and fulfillment thereof.”The-Message-2

Thus, a Prophet is not a new revelation disconnected from history, but the continuation and completion of all previous divine advents. Worshiping only past Prophets while ignoring the present one is a grave mistake, as it isolates divine wisdom from the reality of the present.

The Prophet as the Ultimate Guide

A Prophet is not limited by human qualifications, nor is He confined within religious, national, or social boundaries. He is universal—His wisdom applicable to all, regardless of race, caste, or creed. His words carry the authority of eternal truth, not just intellectual reasoning.

Thakur Anukulchandra explains:

“The present Prophet is the concentrated digest and Fulfiller of specific specifications of all the Prophets—the Forerunners, and He is the meaningful advent for the present—the message of life and growth and rescue for all—but not limited by time.”The-Message-2

This means:

  • The Prophet is the summation of all divine wisdom of past ages.

  • His guidance is necessary for both personal and societal well-being.

  • He is the absolute center around which civilization flourishes.

Why is a Prophet Necessary?

The presence of a Prophet is indispensable for humanity. Without Him:

  • Religious beliefs turn into dogma—mechanical and lifeless rituals without true understanding.

  • Society crumbles under confusion and conflict, lacking a unifying force.

  • Morality and righteousness lose their meaning, as selfish interpretations replace divine truth.

  • People become vulnerable to false prophets, who mislead them for personal or institutional gains.

“Providence provides Prophets, and the Prophets profess the law—to follow is to achieve.”The-Message-2

This means that Prophets do not come to create confusion, but to reaffirm and clarify the eternal principles of life, existence, and fulfillment.

The Prophet is the Only Lead

While many may claim to provide spiritual guidance, only the Prophet is the true Master, the Supreme Guru of the age. Unlike others, He does not interpret wisdom—He is wisdom itself, living and breathing.

“Your Lead—the Love, the Lord of Bread—is the Prophet—the Christ; be adhered to Him actively with every loving watch and every cautious service.”The-Message-2

This means:

  • He alone is the Guru of all Gurus—no one can replace Him.

  • He does not need institutional validation—His very being is proof of His divinity.

  • To serve Him is to serve humanity in the truest sense.

Why are Prophets Seldom Recognized in Their Lifetime?

Despite being the supreme benefactor of humanity, a Prophet is often rejected or ignored in His own time. This is because ego, attachment to past dogmas, and vested interests prevent people from recognizing the divine when it appears before them.

“A Prophet is seldom known as a Prophet in His lifetime. Villains, the meek, and ill-spirited people can seldom adhere to Him in love and faith; passionate cramp always resists them to take Him as Beloved, the Lead.”The-Message-2

However, after His departure, the very people who rejected Him realize their loss and lament:

“After His demise their hearts quiver and they cry—‘Oh! You come, none to love us as You did,’ tearful fate lounges with shreds of despairing dole.”The-Message-2

This pattern is seen in every age—Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, and even Thakur Anukulchandra Himself faced hostility, misinterpretation, and opposition, yet after their passing, people sought to claim them, institutionalize them, and build religions around their names, forgetting their true teachings.

How to Recognize the Prophet of the Time?

Since false claimants may arise, it is necessary to identify the true Prophet based on His attributes. A true Prophet:

  1. Manifests divine wisdom and love spontaneously—His guidance is not calculated but natural and all-nurturing.

  2. Preserves and fulfills past divine messages—He does not negate history, but completes it.

  3. Resists all forms of evil, distortion, and degeneration—He does not compromise with unrighteousness.

  4. Is the absolute center of existence—All progress, both spiritual and material, revolves around Him - though this is only verifiable through the eyes of persons who are to some extent in-sync with the past prophet.

  5. Is universally applicable—His wisdom is not for one sect or nation but for all humanity.

Conclusion

A Prophet is not just a leader, nor is He merely an enlightened man. He is the manifested Providence, the living nucleus of human evolution, and the Supreme Fulfiller of existence. Identifying Him and adhering to Him uncompromisingly is the only way to attain fulfillment, peace, and growth.

Thus, as Thakur Anukulchandra declares:

“Find out and love your Lord, the Lead, with every adherence and active service, serve Him with all your might, love all as He loves—with every compassionate serviceable energetic urge.”The-Message-2

To accept the Prophet is to accept life itself. To ignore Him is to invite existential destruction. The choice is ours.
